Foundation Children of the Food Bank is the charity against child poverty in the Netherlands. The foundation tries to achieve its goal by, among other things, distributing goods.

Children of the Food Bank Foundation (KvdV). A young and ambitious foundation that was founded in 2013 out of compassion for children in poverty.

In its short existence, KvdV has succeeded in making a very successful and practical contribution to the happiness of children growing up in poverty. These children receive new clothes and toys through KvdV. We also make it possible for them to organize a birthday party. This is not self-evident for these children.

We believe that every growing child should be able to face the future optimistically and be burdened as little as possible with the (material) concerns of their parents. For many children, however, the reality looks different. They experience, often at a young age, that their world and possibilities are limited. Instead of childlike open-mindedness, they are confronted with the daily material concerns of the family in which they grow up.

The KvdV Foundation has a sober objective and has made a choice among the large number of more than 400,000 children in poverty. She focuses on the approximately 36,000 children who depend on the food bank through their parents.

The KvdV Foundation realizes that the complex problem of poverty in a rich country cannot be solved only in a material sense. What she can do is positively influence the material position of these children with the (voluntary) efforts of many people. Because children in poverty also have the right to dream carefree.
